Green in Real Life participates in a number of different advertising and affiliate programs, designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by advertising and linking to associated sites. You can read about the different programs and how they work in our detailed Disclosure Policy and disclosures below. This supplements our Terms of Use and should be reviewed in conjunction with accepting those Terms.
Growing and Sharing
Green in Real Life uses the proceeds from our third-party advertising placements, affiliate programs, and a variety of other sources to help offset the costs of running this site and providing our readers with free access to all of our articles and materials. Thanks for understanding our choice to use these revenue generating programs and for continuing to support our blog.
Advertising and Affiliate Programs
Advertisements and affiliate links that appear on this blog are third party (Google AdSense, Amazon, The Book Depository, AliExpress, and/or other sponsor advertisements as detailed below). We do not personally vet or endorse the products and services advertised in any of these formats.
How They Work
When a reader clicks on an affiliate link (in the text of a post or on an affiliate advertisement/banner) and then makes a purchase, a small commission may be received for promoting the seller’s website or products. Prices are the same as they would be if you accessed the site directly. There is no material benefit from click-throughs, only from referred purchases. Non-affiliate advertisements (e.g. space allocated to third-party advertising programs) may operate on views, click-throughs, and/or referrals, depending on the nature of the advertising agreement.
Data and Privacy
As detailed in our Privacy Policy, third-party sites/services may use cookies and/or other identifiers to manage their advertisement programs, as well as to serve personalised content. Opt-outs and third-party ad-blockers are available should you wish to screen advertisements from this and/or other websites. Advertising is, however, what helps to offset the cost of running a free site. It takes a lot of time, energy, and resources to run a blog and to create/share fresh content. Thanks for understanding.
