Green in Real Life participates in a number of different advertising and affiliate programs, designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by advertising and linking to associated sites. You can read about the different programs and how they work in our detailed Disclosure Policy and disclosures below.
We all need a little help to grow...
Green in Real Life uses the proceeds from our third-party advertising placements, affiliate programs, and a variety of other sources to help offset the costs of running this site and providing our readers with completely free access to all of our articles and materials. Thanks for understanding our choice to use these programs and for continuing to support our blog.
Advertising and Affiliate Programs
Advertisements and affiliate links that appear on this blog are third party (Google AdSense, Amazon, The Book Depository, AliExpress, and/or other sponsor advertisements as detailed below). We do not personally vet or endorse the products and services advertised in any of these formats.
How They Work
When a reader clicks on an affiliate link (in the text of a post or on an affiliate advertisement/banner) and then makes a purchase, a small commission may be received for promoting the seller’s website/products. Prices are the same as they would be if you accessed the site directly. There is no material benefit from click-throughs, only from referred purchases. Non-affiliate advertisements (e.g. space allocated to third-party advertising programs) may operate on views, click-throughs, and/or referrals, depending on the nature of the advertising agreement.
Data and Privacy
Advertising and Affiliate Program Participation Disclosures
The primary affiliate and advertising programs in use on Green in Real life are as follow. Note: This is a disclosures placeholder transitioned from our previous website. The programs listed below may not be active here on the new website during this construction phase.
From time to time, Green in Real Life may share other specialist program, product, or service referral links. These will be clearly noted as referral links in the accompanying text of the page, post, or article.
Other Forms of Compensation
We may earn a small commission for the endorsement, recommendation, testimonial, and/or link to any products or services from this website. Although we often share links without having any relationship, material or otherwise, with the linked source, readers should presume that any/all links on this blog may have an affiliate connection or other type of relationship attached.
Compensated (sponsored) posts will only be accepted if they suit the ethics, audience, style, and intent of the blog. Compensated posts at will always be clearly identified. We believe that it is important to be upfront, open, and honest with readers. Disclosure of any material relationships or compensation is not only a legal requirement, but also a matter of personal ethics. This blog may accept select products for review and/or giveaway. Reviews are honest. Whether a post is paid or unpaid, we will only recommend products that we have personally used and enjoyed.
Unpaid/uncompensated posts make up the vast majority of content here on the blog. Posts may include unpaid links to provide supplemental information on a post or topic. As a personal lifestyle blog, we may also post about resources, discoveries, activities, events, and products based upon our own activities and/or personal finds (real and virtual). We are not compensated for writing these posts or sharing the links – we just love to share! These uncompensated posts may also include affiliate links or display advertisements, as noted above, where the linked products or services may be of interest to the reader based upon post content.
Note: Any product claim, statistic, quote, or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider. Any warranty claims, defects, issues, or disputes must be raised and dealt with directly with the manufacturer and/or provider.
